Sing Baby, Sing!

Carolina Dog singing

This is a short and sweet message today – actually a two part message in one. I’ve done this with my dogs since Ezra, my Carolina Dog was a puppy. He’s 4 1/2 years old now. With my American Bully, King, I’ve done it off and on with him since we got him at age 13 months and he is now 12 years old. He absolutely LOVES to “sing” – which is barking and howling to him lol. We started years ago with him doing the Howling-Barking Game. Our then Carolina Dog, Schatzie.

My dogs LOVE when I praise and worship God! I’d not done this in my office for a while, but three weeks ago I began again – daily if at all possible!

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” ~Psalm 100:4

I asked them (yes, I talk to them regularly and I know they understand me – maybe more than we think they understand actually) if they wanted to worship with me.

My American Bully King came in and laid right next to my desk where the iPad was. Ezra, my Carolina Dog came and sat right next to King directly in front of me and as I began singing he started making the funniest sound – like he was trying to sing lol.

I’ll tell King, “Sing, baby, sing!” And he most certainly responds with loud barking and howling! I always tell him he’s the best dog singer I’ve ever heard!

Ezra can really howl and bark when he wants to which is A LOT! But when I worship God and sing it’s like he’s trying to sing like a human lol.

It’s always been a wonderful time for us together and I’m certain it makes God laugh too.

Awake, O my soul, with the music of his splendor-song! Arise, my soul, and sing his praises! My worship will awaken the dawn, greeting the daybreak with my songs of praise!~Psalms‬ ‭57‬:‭8‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Music, singing, dancing, and more are so good for us and as this article below explains, it is being “prescribed” as therapy for various type of ailments. In all truth, I’m sure this can be used for whatever ails humans and, I believe along with many others, animals as well. We do need to qualify the music though – it needs to be a certain kind of music. I use WholeTones.com, and other calming music. My dogs love worship music because it changes me and my husband which I’m sure they can feel. As I stated above they love to “sing along” with me!

This is something I’ve been focused on for a few years and it only has increased as time has gone on. I have a course on this topic which includes animals of course, titled, All Creation Sings. It’s a bonus course in the Holistic American Pet Academy.

Now, onto part-two which may seem like an entirely separate story and subject, but it isn’t. It ties into it all and even though it’s an introduction to those who follow me on Instagram, it really is the essence of who I am and why I teach and do what I do. Why should you care? Well if you’re reading this it may be that you’re tribe! It may be that you didn’t know someone else saw and felt things similarly to how you do about animals, life, health, etc., and now you know you are not alone. So here’s my 8 minute recent video from my LIVE on Instagram a couple of weeks ago. I’m including a link to my post about this topic of Weird Animal Girl with the overview and a podcast episode attached to help bring a little more clarification.

This is all simply a segue into what I plan to share over the coming weeks on what we think and speak about, what we allow ourselves to see and think on, which does affect us in a much more profound way than we may have ever considered and as a result our animals as well. Health wise and in every other way. This is going beyond the normal things we are taught to do for our health and that of our animals naturally and in the natural world. This is going higher. I’m sharing this journey as I learn just as I have always done things. There is an old saying I learned a long time ago which I always share with those who read my blog posts or join my Holistic American Pet Academy:

When we want to learn something, we read about it. When we want to understand something, we write about it. When we want to master it, we teach it. As we help others learn AND apply what they learn, we learn better ourselves. It’s not about teaching others to memorize what we share or and what to think, but rather how to connect the dots by learning how to think – something greatly missing in the western world these days by design. That means I’m asking you not to just take my word for anything but DIG in and research this out for yourselves. Apply what you learn and stay the course. Quitting is the only way to NOT learn, to fail, and to actually be defeated. So, as I say to my dogs, “Sing baby, sing!”

Until next time…

Have a PAWSitively, tail waggin’, SINGING filled day!
