Out of Darkness into the Light

Puppy watching wildlife
Ezra watching the wildlife and hot air balloons

There are really several stories wrapped within this one. As I walk out in the early mornings with God and my puppy Ezra is when God will whisper sweet meanings to me. Back in February of this year before everything in the world suddenly changed, is when God whispered to me telling me Ezra was a treasure of darkness. I shared about it in this post, The Unseen.

I KNEW that scripture verse as I’d learned about it years ago from my colleague and former business partner. I knew it was in Isaiah. I’ve read the Bible daily for 30 years. I have read this particular scripture so many times, but it had never stuck out to me until my colleague pointed it out to me. It still didn’t register with me in a deep way at that time. However, that all changed in February of this year right before the world fell into chaos and calamity. Let me share that scripture verse with you now before I go on: “Thus says the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held – to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut: ‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.Isaiah 45:1-3, NKJV.

Since this time, I’ve heard MANY sharing this scripture! God is speaking to His ecclesia loud and clear if we’re listening. I wrote a series on Ezra in allegorical style as a result of these walks, before all hell literally broke loose this year. Since then I’ve attended online classes, webinars, Zoom calls, and done FB Challenges more than ever before. I’ve also watched a multitude of videos on all the topics surrounding all that is going on. I don’t even want to name any of it because 1) it isn’t the main focus of this blog post (well it is and it isn’t), and 2) I don’t want it to be hidden from sight if you catch my drift. Using those trigger words on the internet these days can get you blocked.

What’s funny is most of what I’ve learned wasn’t anything I didn’t know was coming with a few exceptions since I’ve been watching, learning and sharing on whole health for many years. It’s easier to see when you aren’t programmed by mainstream media (which I don’t watch) plus using all the other toxins masquerading as health care. However, it still took me getting a wild, energetic, willful puppy to get outside of me and my comfort zone to see and go deeper. The following is a story I recently shared on FB, and which I was able to observe and notice because of one such treasure of darkness I experienced recently (by the way I’ll connect all the dots by the end of this post):

Four hot air balloons
Three + one hot air balloons in the July 2020 morning sky

Do you see those four dots in the sky? Hot air balloons. One was by itself for awhile. I rarely see just one. Well recently I did a 3-day challenge with Graham Cooke and I learned about 3+1 – not the basic math equation of course but something much deeper.

3+1 is the Holy Trinity plus me. Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I’m never alone. I’m always part of this Holy crowd. The morning I took this pic last week I saw only one balloon initially, but I knew there had to be more even though I couldn’t see them YET. After one lap I came around and you see what I saw in this pic. Suddenly there were 3 more. No coincidence as that’s one of several ways God speaks to me. I felt His Presence as I often do during these times.

Three plus one.

Matthew 28:20, “…teaching them to observe all things I’ve commanded you; and ‘lo I am with you always, even to the end of this age.

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'”..”Isaiah 41:10, NKJV. Right hand in scripture is associated with strength and power!

God showed me on this walk several things – such as the fact that WE are treasures of darkness. Yes, we come out of the darkness of our mothers wombs into the light of this world. But we’re still stuck in darkness (spiritual darkness) UNTIL we believe and receive Jesus! Then He brings us out of the darkness into His marvelous light! “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the prices of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;…1 Peter 2:9, NKJV

King Ezra
King Ezra the Carolina Dog puppy

This situation with Ezra has been a way for me to let go of those things I didn’t even know I was holding onto that needed to be pruned out of me. It’s still an ongoing process. I thank God for Fathering me and always being such a great Master Vine Dresser so that abundant fruit can come forth. He is using, in this case, a wild little puppy named Ezra. Ezra is from the book of Ezra in the Bible. Read it some time if you haven’t. He was a strong man of God, a priest and seer. This puppy has been appropriately named. He challenges me in SO many ways. Some I kick against as I don’t want to deal with it lol. I don’t. But then I do it anyway and it brings me to yet another revelation or letting go. He is a fighter this one. He was the runt of the litter and the only male. I guess he learned how to hold his own in a powerful way. God did tell me Ezra is a treasure of darkness; a mystery brought to my husband and I during such a time as this.

All I know is, while it’s been mostly difficult, the spiritual part of it all has made it worth it. I’d far rather not have all these struggles but then I’m sure that it’s human nature to take the path of least resistance whenever we can. That said, ask a marathoner or anyone competing in an extreme sport and they’ll tell you it’s much more mental than anything else. Nothing grows in comfort, only in the struggle does the caterpillar become the butterfly dying completely to itself to be transformed into a beautiful being no longer crawling slowly, but flying in an array of color and beauty! So yep, we’re caterpillars waiting to become the butterflies God intended us to be. Sometimes we need willful puppies that are agile, cunning and strong in nature to drag us out of our complacency so that the treasures hidden in darkness can be revealed and received. As Jonathan Cahn said in a daily Sapphires devotional of his:

You may find yourself dealing with old habits and feeling stuck in them; thinking old thoughts or repeating ungodly or unhealthy behavior. But don’t conclude that that’s who you really are. Consider the butterfly. It starts out as a worm-like creature that goes into a shell and becomes a chrysalis. The chrysalis bears the shape of the old body, the caterpillar. In order for the butterfly to become the new creature it was born to become, it has to break out of the old shape. So you have an old self and a new self. Those old habits you deal with are no longer part of the new self. They’re nothing but a shell. The new you is not that, but inside it. Learn to see the shell for what it is. Break out into what God has for you. The old thoughts are things that you can break out of. It’s not the real you in God anymore. So become that heavenly creature you were meant to become. Break out of that thing which is no longer you, it’s just the shell of the chrysalis.” From Message #903 – The Chrysalis (Colossians 3:8).

Until next time…

Have a PAWSitively, tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
