About a year and half ago I consulted with a woman in Beijing, China for her then ailing Wheaten Terrier, named Oscar. She had come as a referral to me by Jesse at Pet-Grub.com. Jesse helped Connie, Oscar’s owner with supplements and he introduced her to the raw diet. For further guidance, he referred Connie to me so I could explain a whole health, naturopathic approach to the care of Oscar.
Connie recently wrote me a little note and sent me some fabulous photos of Oscar which I am going to share with you today. It sure made my day when Connie sent me this letter and I could see, with her amazing photos of Oscar, how well he is doing – that he’s now not only a parvo survivor (using a holistic, natural approach rather than the conventional veterinary approach) but thriving! Connie has given me permission to share both her notes to me and the photos of Oscar with you.
From Connie:
Dear Dr. Kim,
It’s been a year and half passed since I came to you for consultation for Oscar’s parvo. He’s now 2 years and 3 months old, sound and healthy, on raw diet…
When I review all the photos of Oscar from his puppy hood, under parvo attack to grown-up today, I just realize two things are so important to raise a dog on raw diet and with the ‘naturopathic’ approach as well, that is patience and persistence. We need patience to allow dog to heal itself and to grow in his own natural way. Sometimes our own fear, anxiety and eagerness could put extra stress on dog and affect its healing/growing process. We also need patience to learn from dog as well as for dog to understand us.
Persistence – continue to do what’s right. It takes time to get the ultimate outcome, but the efforts will definitely payoff. That’s what I learned from Oscar.
Many BIG THANK YOU!
Connie Luo, Beijing

What is so exciting is Connie took what she learned and applied it – and that is exactly why Oscar is around today running, healthy, thriving!
He is such a beautiful dog and I am so happy for the both of them – and I sure Oscar loves living a real dog’s life 🙂
Until next time…
Have a pawsitively tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
