WHAT I DO
If you are debating whether or not to work with me, please consider that in the long run this will save you both time and money rather than simply getting random suggestions from members of online pet groups and internet searches that can seem contradictory further confusing you. Hit and miss can be costly for you and your dog. What I do is work within the parameters of the Laws of Health mandated in nature as an animal naturopath. I can help you with your dog or cat but I have primarily worked helping clients with their dogs.
WHAT I DON’T DO
I’m not someone who will be in support of “integrative” medical treatments. I am an animal naturopath, NOT a veterinarian. So I help promote and build health, rather than diagnose and treat disease.
If your pet is already on prescribed medications, I can’t in any way recommend you stop anything. I typically will tell pet owners what these medications actually do and then it is up to you to decide with your veterinarian on weaning them off of those medications, but that is your decision to make and not one I will be able to guide you in.
CONSULTATION STRUCTURE
It’s my pleasure to help you be empowered to help your pet live and be well! That said, do realize that the success or failure of any consult session is dependent upon following through and following up – that makes us both committed to the well-being of your pet.
I generally like the initial consultation to be done via conference call (phone line); if that is absolutely not possible, then we can do email. The initial consultation will be one hour. Any follow-ups are preferably done via phone consultation and normally take less time, 30-45 minutes. Please do not engage me here social media for a consultation or client-related questions. I maintain individual client files for all email and phone correspondence.
HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST? DETERMINING WHICH SESSION WILL BEST FIT YOUR NEEDS
This depends on the number of questions you have, if you are already raising your dog naturally, or if you are brand new to natural dog care.
*Typically I start at $160/hour or $90/half hour
IF you have gone through the Total Wellness for Dogs & Cats Course in HAPA then I will adjust the price accordingly since I won’t need to go through the entire nutrition teaching as well as all of the other contributors to your pet’s ill health. The class was created and based upon years of doing consultations just like this one.
NOTE: The session fee is per pet. If you have multiple pets of the same species in need of assistance, I will be happy to work out a group fee for you.
Questions about new puppy vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, allergies, or other concerns? My wellness course covers all of this and more!
STEPS TO TAKE
1. Schedule a consultation with me through Calendly. Each session will be 30-60 minutes*. You may only need one session. You’ll receive the payment invoice after you schedule. Payment must be received in advance of your appointment.
2. Fill in BOTH a Healthy History Consult Form of your pet AND sign an Authorization Form. See the links below to download these forms. Send those to me via email.
3. Additional costs: As for any products (supplements, essential oils, etc.) I may suggest, these will be your responsibility to obtain. If you do not know how or where to get what I suggest, I can give you sources. My philosophy is to first address the nutritional aspect and then figure out what supplementation may be needed; many times simply “fixing” the nutritional aspect goes a long way in resolving issues. On the other hand, if there is a long history of species inappropriate feeding (as in the case of most domestic animals), then do not be surprised if the amount of supplementals I suggest are quite extensive.
***Please note: As much as we would love to be able to, practitioners such as myself simply cannot answer non-client emails concerning health or other issues for any species. Like everyone, I have to earn a living and spending much time on non-paying issues greatly detracts from the time I can spend helping others help themselves and their animals who have invested in doing so.
FORMS
You will find the HEALTH HISTORY and the AUTHORIZATION below. Download and print them out, fill them in and then send them back to me via email. Please be thorough in the Health History as the questions there are designed to get to the root cause of what is ailing your pet.
***All forms must be completed, signed, and emailed back to me PRIOR to the consultation***
Email the Health History Form and the Authorization Form, to drkim@aspenbloompetcare.com
NOTE: The session fee is per pet. If you have multiple pets of the same species in need of assistance, I will be happy to work out a group fee for you.
Questions about new puppy vaccinations, heartworm and parasite prevention, allergies, or other concerns? My wellness course covers all of this and more!
HOW DO I PAY?
I accept Credit Cards through PayPal. I will send you an invoice once we determine what your animal’s needs are. You will be sent the invoice AFTER I receive your forms to be paid PRIOR to receiving your consultation.
Please respect my desire to earn my living by helping you and your dog by not asking me to work for free. Once I receive your completed forms and you have paid for your Consult Session, we will schedule the date and time. All client information is kept confidential.
In the book, Nature Doctors: Pioneers in Naturopathic Medicine, early pioneer Vincent Priessnitz originally did not charge for his services but made numerous house calls. Over time he learned that the people who came to HIS home and PAID him for their treatments were cured the most quickly, so he started charging. He was truly in it for the healing but it was interesting to learn that because his patients invested in their healing they were healed quicker. Why? Because they were COMMITTED to it. They cared enough to be well by INVESTING in it. They learned, applied and could then continue to be well the rest of their days. ~Dr. Kim Bloomer
Please note that I strive to respond promptly to all requests, and sessions are scheduled in the order they are received.

Client Testimonials
Wow this is brilliant! Wow this is brilliant. I’m still making my way through the consultation but I am so excited to have met Doris in order to have met you. I have been trying to find an alternative to the traditional vet for years now and have never been comfy with vaccinating or any of the tests they routinely recommend. I am so excited to help my little fur babies:) ~Jamie Holmes

Wow! You have such a way about what you do! Hi Dr. Kim, thank you so much for your emails and the consultation for Bella – WOW! You have such a way about what you do, it’s so uplifting. Thank you! …Thankfully from your consultation and articles, I am no longer making decisions for Bella based on fear. Well, I wish all animal health caregivers, naturopaths and veterinarians were like you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help with Bella (and for what you are doing for animals and their caregivers). Kind regards, Steve Rosten
thank you Dr. Kim, Thank you so very much. Your knowledge & support mean the world to me! ~Holly & Chamois
not even a trace!!! Dr. Kim! I have the happy task of writing to tell you the lump on Eoin’s lip is 100% gone… vanished… not even a trace!!! We can’t thank you enough for all your help and support! We are still giving him the Zeolife, and Greer, too. They had some red in the corner of their eyes, so we figured it wouldn’t hurt to continue it one time per day for a little while. Hugs N’ Kisses, ~Tom, Krystal & Eoin
Indeed you delivered. Hi Dr. Kim, I was in a random search on the web for help with Callie Rose’s problems (my Lab) and your website came up. I signed up for your news letter and read it for many months. That’s when finally I contacted you for help and indeed you delivered. Thank you! I appreciate your hard work. ~Michelle L Thomison
good news! Hi Dr. Kim, good news for once! Dylan had his check up with the cardiologist today and two of his conditions show slight improvement (infundibular stenosis and hypertophic obstructive cardiomyopathy). He still has a lot going on but I will take any good news! I want to thank you again for all your help and advice. It has helped so so much! ~Rebecca Roebuck
Gentle approach… Dr. Kim’s gentle approach and straightforward instructions made the process both simple and easy – in my experience, natural health can be kind of intimidating, and with Kim there was nothing intimidating about the process whatsoever. She keeps her eyes on the goal, but never makes you feel rushed or overwhelmed. ~Jessica Albon, writer and business owner
