Calming Solutions for Dogs

Carolina Dog Ezra

Hi humans! I FINALLY get to do a blog post all by myself, WOOF! I’m a big boy now so that just makes common sense, besides I’m the one who needs extra help with calming my humans say. All I know is humans make a LOT of loud sounds which scare me. I also hear Rrrrreally good, so that makes it even harder. I hope that during this upcoming holiday of independence (is that still true?), we dogs (and other animals too including wild animals which makes mom very sad), will get some extra help with some NATURAL calming solutions like I do!

Mom wants me to tell you that she does make a commission from all of these since she’s an affiliate for them. However, she also offers solutions here where she doesn’t make commissions. These ones she uses these to help ME so we hope it helps your dogs too! I need lots of help but I don’t know why. I just do.

First let me say some things so people don’t think that we’re just trying to get you to “drug” your dogs. I get daily exercise. I’m not in agility, field, or any other training like that but the truth is, it would most likely help a lot. We dogs do get bored so doing agility, field trials, nose work, and other types of competitions really help dogs with high energy like me. We need jobs humans and unlike a lot of humans (oy) we LIKE to work! In fact we NEED to, so if your dog isn’t getting good exercise daily, and following the other 7 laws of health, then that is something to consider FIRST okay? You can look under the Category “Laws of Health” on this blog and find out ALL about the 8 Laws of Health. In my case, we’re following all of those. I just need more. Confidence building in some dogs is very necessary, especially overly sensitive dogs like me. Plus my breed still has ALL their wild traits (my breed is still wild in the Carolinas) so we’re aren’t as adapted to domesticity as some other breeds may be. All that to say humans, consider outlets for your dog first.

Make sure on on the days leading up to the holiday and sometimes even the rest of the summer (also New Year’s Eve), that your dog is exercised well so he/she is tired when the fireworks begin. Now let’s consider some of the natural solutions Mom likes to share – you see I’m almost 2 years old (late July), so my vocabulary has rrrreally grown hasn’t it? Anyway, keep in mind that the music resource below has a deadline on the discount!

MUSIC – WHOLETONES is the favorite in my home. We often listen to the Healing Project all day and the 2Sleep all night, yep! I need it ALL night. Summer is easier bepaws we have fans going that drown out scary sounds to me like wind blowing, thunder, or helicopters flying over. Yep, those sounds are fine for me IF I am outside but in the house I get scared. Fireworks are the worst. Fridge, our angel dog contributor, used to be VERY scared of fireworks but that was before Mom knew all these natural methods to help dogs. Fridge doesn’t have to be scared anymore since he’s in heaven! Here is some information on the Wholetones Music for Pets (but you don’t have to limit yourself to just the pet one – King and I like the two we get to listen to every day better than the pet one). We have the CDs, the mp3s AND the music players! Mom always buys them when they’re on sale so now you can too. 20% off sale during the 4th of July week!
