This is so special for me to share!
After my post on FB about us losing King the day after Christmas, then a subsequent blog post on my farewell tribute to him something really wonderful happened – and no, not another dog as we’re just not in that place. My friend, a talented artist in her own right, Janice L. Gribben, referred me to another talented artist and now my friend, Lynn Cote Sardella to have a miniature reconstruction of King created. Wow has she done an exceptional job on re-creating him! I’ve seen others do this, but Lynn really captures the essence of the dogs she recreates!!!
She can do other animals too! I’m sharing just a few of the photos she took of her re-creation of King. I sent her lots of photos of him from a variety of angles and poses. She has been such a blessing to work with, so compassionate and loving. She naturally rears her own dogs too. A true nature lover. God brought us together through Janice and I’m so very grateful. This was my gift to Donnie for his upcoming birthday this year as last year he was too sick to celebrate anything (thank God he is healed and fully restored).

Lynn does not advertise or have a website for her beautiful needle felting work – she does this all on word-of-mouth referral. I highly recommend her!!! The packaging she sends the replica of your pet/animal in to protect it is so thoughtful and absolutely beautiful too!
Enjoy the images! I’ll be putting some of them on King’s Memorial Page as well. King was the first American Bully Lynn did, which means King gets to totally represent!
Lynn’s sweet canine boy is featured modeling with King so you can see size comparison.
Information on what the replica is created from:
King’s replica is 9 inches in height – that was an extra personalization. The following is what is on her business card:

“100% natural wool fiber, (this part was shared in the card insert: the eyes are imported from Belarus, horsehair for his whiskers, nose and nails from clay). Your pet’s image is carefully hand needle-sculpted into the custom likeness of your beloved pet. There is wiring in the legs and head to allow you to change the position.
- A thoughtful gift
- A forever keepsake
Simply provide me with a variety of your pet’s photos. I will invest time, love and talent into the process of creating a one-of-a-kind miniature image of your furry friend.” The name of her business is, “WooLynn Wonders” – so fitting, isn’t it? On her business card, the photo shows the following animals which she has sculpted (I’m sure that’s not all-inclusive though): several dogs, Siamese cat, rabbit, sheep, squirrel, skunk, seal, bear. On Instagram I’ve seen a photo of a bird and one of another cat breed she shared there and I thought the cat was a real one until I looked a little closer!! She’s the best I’ve seen who does this type of needle felting of pets.
Thank you, Janice for introducing me to Lynn, I’m forever grateful to you, love you sister! Thank you, Lynn for the beautiful, amazing work you do that also helps ease our grieving and brings the oil of joy in our mourning. Love you sister!

This has definitely helped our grieving process. The truth is, we miss him every single day, but this helps us in going forward. I don’t know how to explain it, but for me it’s been even better than having a portrait – although I’d love one of those as well. One of my FB friends said it was “scary” lol, because she felt that the replica looked more real life than King’s photo. I replied to her that it was because a photo is only two-dimensional, but the replica is three-dimensional. As you can see from the photos, this is truly a beautiful work of art; a keepsake; a treasured gift; a way to still see your beloved pet in three-dimensions and to recover from the loss. This was a very beautiful, personal journey of healing. I hope this blesses you as well.
Lastly, for the record, I do not receive any kind of recompense by sharing this, I just simply wanted to share with you, what is helping to bring closure and peace to us and hopefully can do likewise for you.
Until next time…
Have a PAWSitively, tail waggin’, WOOLYNN WONDERS day!
