Let me take you on a little journey into natural animal health. I’ll digress right at the beginning here to share an excerpt from my allegorical book,Be Transformed, Be Renewed, Be Well as an introduction…
SHE – Introduction
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. – 3 John 1:2, KJV
“As she sat back in her chair reflecting over her long and at times arduous journey, she wondered how it was that she was so fortunate to be in her current position. She knew she had to share that journey with others so they too could reap the same benefits.
Her entire life had changed, improved, shifted.
A long, long time ago in a memory far away she recalled saying to her child self, “All I want is for animals [they always came first in her eyes] and people to BE WELL.” Even then she knew God’s purpose for her life was to help others realize the same in their own lives and in the lives of their animals as well. She didn’t think about it any other way than BE WELL – not “get” well (as if it was something elusive to seek out and take), but simply to BE WELL.”
This is where it all began – at age 8. This has been my lifelong dream that I believe I will see realized before my journey in life has ended. I’ve learned it is God’s desire for us to receive ALL He has given us in His Son which includes Divine Health – for us and ALL creatures! This leads to what IS natural animal health: Animal Naturopathy.
Perhaps you have heard of animal naturopathy but have wondered what it really is. The philosophy of naturopathy has been in existence since the beginning of time.
TRUE Animal Naturopathy is a lifestyle not a method; the art of natural wellness for animals. Not to be confused with so called “holistic” veterinary care or even alternative animal care.
Naturopathy focuses on health not on symptoms or disease. The definition of naturopathy is a philosophy and system of following the laws of health that God mandated in nature to keep the body balanced:
- species appropriate nutrition
- exercise
- pure water
- fresh air
- sunshine
- rest
- balance / aka temperance
- trust in these laws to maintain health
This might seem too simplistic but I pose this as was so SIMPLY stated in this quote by Chris Tiegreen: “Simple solutions are always considered irrelevant and inconsequential – even when they are true.”
Here’s where I pose the BIG SHIFT in our thinking – again I’ll share through quotes by others first:
“The doctor has been taught to be interested not in health but in disease. What the public is taught is that health is the cure for disease.” – Ashley Montagu
“Every patient carries her or his own doctor inside“. ~Albert Schweitzer
Do you see it yet?
“As I see it, every day you do one of two things: build health or produce disease in yourself.” ~Adelle Davis
Disease is fear-based. Disease begins in the spirit and soul, then it manifests in the body. But what about our pets? I doubt they are thinking about being sick or getting sick. However, they do not have a filter for what WE think about. For what WE do. So their healing starts with us.
Most of our pets today are already set up in a disease-state when born due to the constant use of vaccines, pesticides, and improper nourishment subsisting on commercial junk food – propaganda is making our animals sick generation after generation…which is cumulative generationally! We are even told that what is common is NORMAL but nothing could be further from the truth! Rather it is experimentation under the guise of healthcare delivery.
The word “disease” is really an adulteration of the original word “dis-ease” meaning the body was uneasy because it was/is imbalanced. The word “disease” was instituted to place labels on symptoms and is used to lend an element of fear that states only a licensed physician can cure and/or treat the “label” using invasive measures such as surgery and synthetic pharmaceuticals to “control or manage” the labeled symptom.
So now let’s shift to HEALTH so we can SEE clearer:
Health is not simply the absence of illness (disease). ~Hannah Green
This is what modern society has come to believe health is however.
Life is not merely to be alive, but to be well. ~Marcus Valerius Martial
The laws of health I mentioned above are the foundational key from which we can build upon the full architecture of health.
Do we go on the defense or offense? The best defense is an OFFENSE. The things I just mentioned are laws of health mandated in nature which means they are not optional. They are proactive not reactive. They are lifestyle not a method. They are life and life more abundantly. They are our Offensive Team!
Now to the heart of the matter – what if we toss out the management systems so we can embrace what we’re really looking for to help our animals and ourselves: TRANSFORMATION.
What if we instead begin to THINK, FOCUS and SPEAK on HEALTH rather than dis-ease? Shifting our focus from the disease orientation we’ve been conditioned to think of as health care, to one that is truly health focused? What if? Coming soon on the Skool platform, I’ll be opening a holistic pet academy alongside my friend and co-laborer, Doug Reed. That will happen by August 2024. I’ll post the link here when that happens.
I’ll end this post with the ending from my book: “She is continuing this BE WELL journey with a mindset focused on helping others achieve wellness, purpose and abundance. BELIEVE that you can. Let go of fear and embrace faith. BE who you were created to BE so you can BE WELL!”
Until next time…
Have a PAWSitively, tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
