Did Dogs Evolve from Wolves?

The title of the following article may seem misleading, but everything in life really is about faith – in something or someone: https://www.thedogpress.com/DogSense/dogs-in-faith-and-fact-Dr.19L12.asp

Let’s break this down a bit shall we? In my coursework (in my soon to be released online school in natural pet health), we often refer to dogs being nearly identical to the gray wolf. Note the key word here is “nearly”. The article states this: “Scientists once thought that dogs descended from gray wolves. Now, through genetic studies, researchers know that dogs and wolves share a common ancestor instead of a direct lineage.”

Does this mean we’re recanting our statement that’s been interspersed throughout our teachings? No. Why? Because as these scientists discovered and we’ve stated in the coursework, dogs are NEARLY identical to gray wolves, not descended from gray wolves. A great book to read by our friend Aleksandra Mikic who also wrote the book, “How to Immunize Your Dog Without Vaccines” (side note: catchy title by the way since vaccines can’t immunize, they can only vaccinate – we DIG into that in the coursework!) is her book, “Dogs: Their True Origin, Function, and Future” which goes into this subject in depth.

Okay, continuing on, the overall focus in this article is that dogs can’t be traced to any other species as an origin: “No science, no genetic study, no ‘caveman’ drawings or religious works connect the dog to any other species, living or extinct.

This article is theological in its nature, and without stating it clearly (so I will) the truth is, each species has been created as exactly what they are including the dog by God. Species evolve. Some are closely related to other species, but truth says that each one was created. You don’t have to agree. It’s not a debate.

Read the article to get the full picture of what was stated. My favorite sentence in this article was simply this: “Jewish law requires Jews to feed their dogs before themselves. A black and white dog is sometimes used as an informal symbol of the Dominican order of friars. Domini canes in Latin means ‘the dogs/hounds of the Lord.’” We have a black and white American Bully named King, so I like thinking of him as a hound of the Lord.

Lastly, reiterating my previous comments, for those who really want to go deeper, get Aleksandra’s book. I found it to be a fascinating read!

Until next time…

Have a PAWSitively, tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
