For me this is a beautiful week as we celebrate Passion week in my faith.
This last year has been super hard for me. LOL I was just telling my good friend Kathy in a message that it’s been a rough THREE years….so much loss of loved ones, my beloved dog Schatzie, a hard-earned business (online school) I built with my colleague, and friendships I never thought would end.
And yet. And still…I have Him. Jesus. To me He is the MOST beautiful thing there is. So with eyes firmly upon Him I move forward. He is my All. He ought to have been all along but I incorporated Him in for so many years rather than surrender my entire life to Him. In the face of so much loss and adversity, He is still there. Waiting. And eager to dance with me into eternity.
So there the loss is as Paul said in scripture, but light affliction for the joy coming!
This is our dog, King. An American Bully. This was when we first got him in 2013 and he was only 13 months old. He came into the bedroom when Donnie was praying and did this. I happened to walk in and snuck a photo. This special time of private prayer captured.
We got him 4 months before we got Schatzie. He has been my husband’s sidekick since day one. He longs for Donnie even if Donnie is only out in the front yard. He yearns for him. He’s so satisfied when he’s with him…
Then it dawned on me just this morning, this is how it MUST be with me and God…to long for Him even when I know He’s right there. To know He never leaves or forsakes me.
THE Most beautiful thing in the world that I love!
Until next time…
Have a pawsitively, tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy, Jesus-filled day!
