Doing a NEW Thing!

God is doing a NEW thing!

Two years ago in October, I was in deep reflection. I wondered what in the world had happened to my life, questioning all my decisions such as, “Why in the world did we think getting a puppy was a good idea?” Not to mention the unraveling of everything else I thought I’d built. LOL. Yes, well pride does go before a fall doesn’t it? That comes from Proverbs 16:18.

I kept asking God the whys, how’s, when’s – you know ALL the questions we ask when our lives seem to completely change and flip into the unknown, uncomfortable, uncertainty that usually happens multiple times as we traverse our time here in the natural (that means the earth in our bodies for those who aren’t familiar with that terms often reference as followers of Jesus).

Holy Spirit’s answer came one day, in a very distinct, beautiful voice I heard clearly in my heart. I knew it sure wasn’t my own – especially as it was so excited, happy and love-filled. A voice I’ll never forget. He said, “I’m doing a new thing!” Yes, that was His answer to me about all my deep (so I thought), probing, self-focused questions. I said, “Yay, that’s great Lord! What does it mean?” Laugh out loud, I sure did even as I wrote that!

I’ll respond how I know He often does in these matters, with Proverbs 25:2, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of king is to earth out a matter.” Read this dialogue, which is also an audio on my podcast, titled King Bubba and Priest Ezra. That should clarify why I referenced that scripture verse first. God loves to take His children on TREASURE hunts – the REAL treasure that lasts for eternity! He wants us to embrace, know and live what He reveals to us. I LOVE learning these things and seeking them out now as He leaves bread crumbs to lead me to the treasures He has! This took time as I wasn’t used to doing any of that, I was like so many of us these days wanting to be TOLD or it dropped in my lap. That’s totally ironic since in my own classes, podcast, school, etc. I’ve always taught students/listeners/clients to SEEK out the answers for themselves, to DIG in and learn the truth through their own due diligence so they can own what they learn, not just take my word for things. So God held my feet to the proverbial fire to do likewise for which I’m very grateful.

So I did and I discovered Isaiah 43:19, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.” (Bolding is mine). NKJV

I’d read that scripture MANY times but this time it landed and stayed. I still didn’t get it at the time, but as 2019 turned into 2020 and beyond it began to become more and more clear. I’ve heard SO many believers sharing this verse since then also. It’s coming more and more into focus and clarity.

King and Ezra Sleeping

DIG in brethren! My Carolina Dog, Ezra dug trenches during that time – thankfully that has really lessened lol. I don’t what he discovered, but I discovered treasures far greater than any gold and silver here on earth. The good news is, God showed me that ALL the gold and silver is His anyway, “The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:8, NKJV

I’m still on an intense journey with God (in truth, for all my days I will be), as well as with my mighty dog of valor and my bubby boy King too.

I love how God teaches me through them. This time, the lessons have been so intense to match this season and the new era we’ve entered.

Until next time…

Have a PAWSitively, tail waggin’, NATUROPATHICALLY healthy day!
