We don’t usually think of health as a dance, but from heaven’s perspective, that’s exactly what it really is. Here on earth, we’ve been programmed to believe that “health” care is going to the doctor to get a diagnosis or prescription for ILLNESS which is not health or health care. Health is not a method or treatment, it is a proactive lifestyle not reactive. When we neglect God’s laws of health then we get out of harmony with His symphonic dance of health. The same holds true for our pets when we don’t honor these for them.
Health doesn’t come in an injection or pill. Rather it comes by following the aforementioned laws of health. There is a reason God placed us initially in a garden you know! Every part of the 8 laws of health are in that very garden. Proper nutrition, exercise, pure water, sunshine (God IS light), temperance, fresh air, proper rest and trust. After the Fall of Man, all of the laws of health started to topple right then and there – and we’ve allowed them to be adulterated ever since.
Health was meant to be a symphony, in harmony with the voice of God and all He provides for us and His animal kingdom. Here is some of what has happened to that beautiful dance in harmony that is now more of a mosh pit with inharmonic dissonant sounds wrecking havoc in our spirits, our souls, our bodies:
- Each of the laws of health have been perverted in a lust for money and power. We’ve in part created that monster by wanting to ignore our own responsibility to this by demanding fast food, a magic bullet pill, microwave results, and so on until we’ve become a hot mess rather than the beautiful masterpiece we were created to be. Lured by ease and comfort we’ve grown apathetic, lazy, overweight, sick, pale, anxious, selfish, and distrustful.
- We’ve come to misunderstand and confuse health with dis-ease management/treatment. See #1.
- Our ignorance in these things allows the cascade downhill to continue unless and until we begin to embrace this dance of health in the harmony God always intended.
Let’s not continue to leave our dogs/pets out of this equation. We do them a grave injustice when we do that as they don’t have a choice and depend on us to honor their nature and needs. See the end of the post for the solutions I provide.
When we do enough wrong without taking personal responsibility for our health, then we become ill. It’s far better, far less expensive, and far more fun to live a healthy life, proactively engaged in the harmonic symphony of the dance of health!
Entrainment. Harmony. Symphony. Yes, those are all musical terms. Health is a song and a dance. It is music when we honor the laws of health. It’s also the rhythm of the earth. We mess it all up with our noise that battles against nature, that battles against all that God provided for us to live and BE well.
Did you ever watch the sitcom, Friends? Remember how Elaine would dance (if you could call it dancing)? It was all so disjointed and spastic with zero rhythm or fluidity, not even trying to move with the music. That’s illness. Have you ever watched a prima ballerina dance? That is harmony. That is health. It’s fluid, graceful and in step with the music. What a contrast!
We can use a dog as an example as well. When a dog has a balanced body in structure they move with a fluid gait that is agile and truly does look as if they are floating on the air rather than walking on the ground. The closer to a natural, wild dog they are the more balanced and fluid that gait can be. Due to breeding practices, incorrect nourishment, and all the other violations of the laws of health, they become noticeably ill in so many ways. They walk in pain, or are too obese to even move with any comfort. That will and often does translate into behavioral issues as well. In fact our pets are less companions these days than they were when I was a child. They are more often medical and training bills these days. The list is endless here. They are an exact mirror of the disharmony we as a culture are experiencing due to ignoring what was freely given to us by God.
Something else we leave out is we make the body our focus, but health really does begin in the spirit, which then translates to our soul (mind/will/emotions), which manifests in the body.
We must entrain ourselves to the Truth = Jesus, to His heartbeat then everything will come into harmony. He IS the tuning fork. He IS the music. He IS the song!
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, in his book, The Book of Mysteries, has two devotionals in it that speak to this. I’ll paraphrase each here:
- The Khag – The Dance of Circles, Day 203. Isaiah 12:2
- The Invisible Harp, Day 339. Ephesians 5:19-20
In The Khag, aka the Dance of Circles, the teacher is explaining to the student that the word khag means the dance of circles. All of God’s holy days are named the Khag. The primary focus of the story is to know that God ordained the earth to take part in the dance of circles. So that means us, the entire world. A cosmic dance of circles which is a celebration of the Lord, the manifestation of worship, a party or festival of His love, a sacred expression of joy and thanksgiving. Those all seem to be missing at large in our western society as we are focused on doing the exact opposite. No wonder we’re so sick.
The Invisible Harp, is really our heart! The instrument that produces music to the Lord. We’re to make melody in our hearts to God. Our hearts were never meant to produce gloom, doom, hatred or anxiety. That’s all from the evil one. We are to make music from the invisible harp (our heart) of thanksgiving, praise, love, worship. THAT changes everything in our spirits, souls and bodies while giving God the glory! It’s obvious, at least to me, that I’m not alone in this thinking on the dance of health. In fact, that ALL came from God to me – and to anyone who is ready to receive that truth! Hebraic thinking is seasons and circular, not linear. I’m grateful it’s how I’ve always thought.
Nature is so powerful, so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy – your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself. ~Annie Leibovitz
A good dancer is not necessarily defined by great technique, skill, or ability to pick up choreography but by confidence. When you feel the music, it penetrates to your soul. Everybody’s a dancer. The greatest dancer is someone who is willing to dance, not afraid. ~Alyssa Edwards
Words make you think a thought. Music makes you feel a feeling. A song makes you feel a thought. ~E. Y. Harburg
Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours. ~Elton John
