Dr. Kim,
I bought your book Whole Health for Happy Dogs:A Natural Health Handbook for Dogs and their Owners written with Dr. Jill Elliot. It is excellent! It has alot of information that I didn’t know and focuses predominantly on raising your dogs as naturally as possible using Homeopathy, Aromatherapy and other alternative ways of healing and treating our dogs…Dr. Elliot autographed it for me when I went to see her last. Congratulations! Great job!!! ~Yours in Love, Light and Peace,Isiris
Thank you sooo much Kim, and Daisy thanks you too. I wish I had known about your web site sooner. I could have spared my pet friend a lot of discomfort. I always want to the best for the cats, but no one I’ve seen through the years has mentioned any other diet but the canned stuff and dry kibble. I sincerely thank you and am anxious to start reading the information. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks again for the information and speedy response. Have a “tail waggin’ day” yourself (that’s so cute). ~Christa

Just wanted to let you know that the Be Calm is awesome! Since Romeo just had his liver surgery, he’s being monitored 24/7. He’s been at work with me yesterday and today and most of the time, sleeps in his crate. He started to get fussy and didn’t want to be still (which he has to be so the constrictor from his liver shunt sugery doesn’t get jostled during these first few days). I took him for a little walk in case he had to potty and he didn’t do anything. I figured he was stir crazy and sprayed the Be Calm on his back and rubbed it into his skin. He was out in minutes and is still out! He is now snoring peacefully as I type. Thanks so much! It worked like a charm. When I get home, Kibbe is getting a few spritzes—she’s a wild animal! ~Kristen Hanna, Saved by Pugs
Hi Kim,
This is Nikki getting her daily spray. She so looks forward to it. She wiggles her behind, then rolls over for her tummy and finally runs with a happy burst of energy. We love the way she smells with “Be Soothed“. Thanks! Jennie De Vincentis, CA

Thanks for all that you do, and for your love of these incredible creatures! Keep up the great work! ~Chris Vernetti
I sprayed Spiffy with the Be Free spray today and I cannot wait to see how they work! The presentation of the bottles was absolutely beautiful, I loved the little paw-print ribbons so much I tied them back on even after I got the seals off! They also smell really good, very earthy and natural! Thank you again SO much for the sprays, Spiffy didn’t mind being sprayed with them at all! So that’s already a big thumbs up as he hunkers down and hides from his Advantage medication! ~ Grace
well you outdid yourself with packaging. how beautiful… ~andrea
From customer who orders the Be Calm spray:
Hi Kim,
…when I opened the box the order was in I was stressed out from the day, and within a couple of minutes I was calm. My dog had to inspect the contents also and is now sleeping soundly in the living room…thank you! ~ Jen Trombley, Gentle Paws Massage
Hi Kim,
Perry just reminded me to tell you that the itching spray (Be Soothed) that we got for Niki really works on her. We can really tell the difference. ~ Jenny de Vincentis, CA
Hi Kim,
I’ve found a tick on/near two of the dogs in that last few weeks (the yard is really unhealthy right now – no rain means an imbalance which usually results in an increase in pests). Anyway, I’ve been spraying them with the Be Free regularly. And, when I found the ticks – they weren’t attached to either dog…The one on Te was slowly moving around toward the bell of her ear (on the outside) – where they usually attach (this was *hours* after she came in that day – so, it had plenty of time to attach). The other we actually found on the carpet near Twister. It was still alive – but, just barely – Cori really thought it was dead but it was still moving a tiny bit. This is absolutely the worst time for Te – when she is trying to blow her coat – for getting ticks. I usually find 1 or 2 a year on her…but, almost always this time of year and 90% of the time, it’s already attached to her ear. So, this is AWESOME! ~ Dee Phipps
I loved reading your book. I could not put it down. I still browse it. I carry it from work to home and vise versa…You are an amazing writer!!!! I sell your books a lot. ~Fabienne Lawrence

Whole Health for Happy Dogs: A Natural Health Handbook for Dogs and their Owners, by Jill Elliot DVM and Kim Bloomer VND, is the best book I’ve ever seen on all things dog, both in its content and layout. It teaches us that health is not just absence of disease but an overall high functioning, vibrant, joyful, and fulfilling life that is available by following the simple yet profound precepts this book contains.
Elliot and Bloomer start by outlining how a healthy dog actually appears and acts, all the way from his outer coat to his innermost attitude and personality, providing a user-friendly checklist. All chapters have beautiful photos, illustrations, and bulleted points that make it easy and fast to grasp the many helpful suggestions. The authors present common canine diseases and their causes, give us detailed information on how to choose the veterinarian that is right for our dog, and explain a variety of holistic health care options (such as acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, massage, and essential oils).
They also discuss the pros and cons of vaccination, the needs of dogs at different ages, and solutions to common mental health issues. Their explanation of food and nutrition is especially enlightening, culminating with the many benefits of a raw food diet. There is an important chapter on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention as well as more detailed information on both natural and conventional remedies to boost our dogs’ general health.
The book ends with a much needed discussion of environmental toxins and natural solutions to them. Of the four helpful appendices, my favorite is a detailed table stretching 3 pages listing common ailments together with their suggested natural remedies and appropriate dosages.
If you want your dog to be as healthy and vibrant as he can be, follow the invaluable suggestions in this easy-to-read book. Its excellent information and upbeat tone will steer you in the best possible direction for your canine companions! ~Trisha Howell Actor, author, animal enthusiast
I have read your book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs, and I love it!! Your book has been a wonderful reference for me to care for my pet in a natural, balanced, and holistic manner. Thanks again! ~Hadas Ranon
This is the book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs, that every pet owner should have. This book is well written and easy to read and understand. It opens up a world of natural pet care not only for dogs but for other pets as well. Let’s take that statement further. The book also gets you thinking about your own health and what you can do to improve it naturally. Once you start reading Whole Health, it is hard to put the book down. It is packed with useful information on treating various ailments and also discusses the problems our pets face in a world filled with man made chemicals and toxins.
“Whole Health” is appropriately titled because this book looks at the “whole picture” and brings to light everything in the house, yard, environment and food that effects a dogs health. There are so many things to consider that we do on a day to day basis. Did you ever think of what that floor cleaner is doing to your dog when he licks a crumb off the floor or walks across it with wet paws? Natural pet care is more than what your dog eats. The authors take it a step further by offering additional resources for expanding your knowledge to give your pets the healthiest life that you can.
This is a book that I will enjoy reading again and referring to many times. My two dogs are moving around better and I can tell they are feeling better and happier. Thank you Kim and Jill for your passion and dedication to providing better lives for our furry companions. ~Laurie Weber
I loved your book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs. A few things that I particularly liked were the discussions on dogs shedding all year long and the health impact of an underbite like in bulldogs. I found the book to be very user friendly and it talked at a level that the average pet owner could relate to.

I proudly place this book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs, in my library within easy reach, as I will be referring to it often. Copies of this milestone book will soon be given as gifts to my family, friends, co-workers, and my vet. Such wonderful information should be shared with everyone who has a dog or is even just thinking about getting a dog. Perhaps the most interesting chapter to me is the one about diet. It makes perfect sense to feed a species appropriate diet, yet so many people are clueless and continue to feed their dogs garbage that’s not fit to dump in a compost pile. Fantastic work Dr. Elliot and Kim Bloomer! Your book is truly exceptional! ~Sharon D. Stewart
This book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs, should be a requirement for all dog owners. It is what every new dog owner needs and what people that have had dogs for a long time should have. It is easy to read and understand. It covers feeding and many preventative health care tips. It is not only very informative but a very attractive book with many color pictures. A must have. ~Edith Chupp
I purchased this book, Whole Health for Happy Dogs, immediately after picking up our new puppy. This book is far MORE than a handbook – I read this book cover to cover the day I received it. It’s an easy read, truly full of information on how to naturally care for your dog. The book answered every question I had, as well as provided me with ideas that I wouldn’t have ever thought of (and has great pictures, too!) I can confidently say, as a result of reading this book, our puppy will lead a happy and healthy life. ~Donna Toothaker

On the essential oils by Young Living
Hello, Dr. Bloomer, just wanted to let you know that I have been using the Immupower oil on my dog’s foot, and the arthritis knot is going down! Also have been giving him the Immupro chewable tablets. We have our happy dog back! Thanks so much for your suggestions. I just placed another order, and made sure that you get the credit for it. Thank you so much, our dog is like himself again. We have also been using the Dr. Frank’s spray for joint pain, and I think that is helping also. It is so wonderful to see our German Shephard wanting to play again! Thanks again, Jean Tatman
Hi Dr. Kim,
I want to personally thank you for being there to help. I also want to tell you how much I appreciate your words of encouragement with respect to learning how to give natural care to our furry kids. Thank you for making this such a wonderful educational experience. ~Anita & Toby-wan Kenobi
Dear Kim
I’m just writing to thank you again for all the info you sent me and hooking me up with dogtor ‘J’ . I really appreciated the time you took to converse with me…Thanks again for your support and good luck with all the good work you’re up to. – Mike Abel
“That totally makes sense that people are most interested in pet nutrition and how that affects everything else–it seems like the most basic part, so fundamental, and with all the focus on nutrition in general these days, it’d be hard to figure out what *else* to do before getting the nutrition squared away. I really like how you use that as the foundation and then build out from there–it makes the whole process seem so much more approachable and doable.”
All my best, Jes, Design Doodles
Kim Bloomer is, hands down, the most knowledgeable natural pet care educator I know. She truly cares about animals, wanting the very best for all animals, and is deeply committed to naturally caring for all animals to prevent problems. It’s obvious that Kim spends time researching natural pet care in order to offer the most up to date and accurate natural pet care information available. Kim has a way of explaining natural pet care that is down to earth while still extremely information packed, making natural care a manageable task for any animal caretaker. I can’t think of any other person that I would want advising me on the care of my precious pets.
Dee Kreidel, artist, pet lover, mother of 3 children
Kim’s gentle approach and straightforward instructions made the process both simple and easy–in my experience, natural health can be kind of intimidating, and with Kim there was nothing intimidating about the process whatsoever. She keeps her eyes on the goal, but never makes you feel rushed or overwhelmed.
Jessica Albon, writer and business owner
When Kim Bloomer coined the term “pet educator” for what she does, she was right on the money. Learning natural pet care from Kim is like learning how to bake chocolate chip cookies from your mom. Her love of animals and her desire to see every pet owner enjoy sharing their lives with a happy, healthy pet shines in every sentence!
Paige Eissenger, radio show host of Views from the Coop and business owner
