Licorice root herb
By Dr. Kim • Oct 12th, 2008 • Category: Herbal Health for PetsLicorice root is a favorite of mine, I add it to our morning health smoothies I fix for my husband and myself. And now after you read the following article you’ll be even more amazed at the benefits this root can provide.
Licorice Heals Ulcers, Inflammation, and Skin Conditions
In the book, Herbs for Pets, licorice root is used to help pets with respiratory, digestive and endocrine system problems. Licorice root is an expectorant and helps with blood cleansing, soothes and protects mucous membranes. It is also anti-inflammatory, and perhaps best known for its support of the adrenals.
We purchase all of our herbs from Mountain Rose Herbs – except for those we’ll be growing ourselves. Their quality of herbs and service are exceptional!
