Puppies are so cute but it does pay to know what you’ll need to do in advance of ever bringing your cute little furball home
You’ve done your homework and figured out which breed, even if it’s a mixed breed, what puppy will be right for you and your lifestyle. Before you bring your new puppy home however, you’ll want to make sure you have some things in place before you do. For me a puppy is nearly the equivalent of bringing home a new baby, because they are dog babies who need love, attention, care and the security of knowing they are safe. Let’s cover a few things you’ll want to before the day you pick up your new puppy:

So many dogs end up in shelters for the simple fact that the owner didn’t understand the breed they brought home
I was talking with a friend today about specific breed natures. I felt I no longer had wonderful Golden Retrievers and was handed a Neapolitian Mastiff because I personally had to learn something about my own nature - actually he is such a blessing and a gift I’d have it no other way. Neos are a rather stubborn breed while Goldens are typically obedient and sweet. I know that sounds so philosophical and it is in a way. For me it’s deeper and more spiritual than that but I won’t go there in this short blog post.

These days’ dogs certainly have a wide variety to choose from for their snacking pleasure. It’s rather funny to me how we feel the need to contribute to our dogs’ bad eating habits the same way we support our own. The good news is that while there is a wide variety of doggie treats on the market, the newest trend is leaning towards healthy or “natural” treats for our dogs. Keep reading here:
