NEW ATN Gone Wild Show Produced by Animal Talk Naturally!

If you haven’t heard the news well now you will! Animal Talk Naturally had so many requests for shows other than natural animal health and wellness that we decided to diversify and Go Wild! Yes, we created another show all about the human-animal bond through BlogTalk Radio called ATN Gone Wild! We invite you to listen our 4 new shows archived at ATN Gone Wild. Since the recording is done automatically through BlogTalk Radio as we do the show LIVE the sound quality isn’t as good as our Animal Talk Naturally show BUT the good news is, we are able to share with you all the wonderful things people are doing for and with animals showing how much animals enrich our lives AND the awesome things animals do for us as well!

Look for our monthly announcements on the shows available on ATN Gone Wild or just check the schedule and join us for the LIVE show! Here are the latest shows: read more

The Aging Process

Understanding how we can help our dogs age gracefully can bring a whole new meaning to teaching an old dog new tricks

What is aging? What can we do to keep our dogs healthy and tail wagging happy as they age? Rather than looking at their aging as a decline in health, we can help our older dogs remain an active and vital part of their human pack family through proper nutrition, diet, exercise, general care, and giving them a job to do. read more

For the Love of Our Animals on ATN

For the Love of Our Animals - Show #110
My mom is going to share this week’s announcement with you…I’m taking a vacation today WOOF!

This week on Animal Talk Naturally we have with us repeat guest and friend Ron Hevener. This audio was recorded as Ron’s seminar during the 2006 1st Annual Online Dog Expo under a different title but the meaning for us is the same. This is a very serious subject but the basis of the topic is that we love our animals - all of us - and we want the freedom to continue to enjoy and interact with animals as they enrich and enlighten our lives! Parts of this seminar have been edited out. Here is this week’s synopsis:

Our dogs are a lot of fun, especially in summer but with that can come accidents and injuries. It pays to be prepared for an emergency with your dog

Summer often brings a lot great outdoor fun and activities but those good times are often coupled with accidents and injuries for both us and our dogs. We need to be prepared for those times with a first aid kit at the ready for our dogs. I am always inclined to approach anything with nature’s remedies first before anything synthetic made by man, although for those acute situations they will most likely be necessary. So let’s take a look at how put together an integrative first aid kit and how you can be prepared to help ensure your dog has the best chance of survival in an emergency situation. Canine Cuisine

With dog owners opting for more natural methods of caring for their beloved companions, it makes good common sense to know what to feed them for their optimal health.

Natural pet care is increasingly becoming more the choice of care for pet owners. People have become more and more disillusioned with conventional care as a means to prevent illness in their pets. In truth biomedicine was never originally intended to be a means of prevention but rather a means of emergency, acute care. In simpler terms this means that typically veterinarians are not the people we should be looking to for our pets’ nutritional needs. Veterinarians are trained in the treatment and management of disease. Natural care of our pets is obtained by preventing illness in the first place through proper species specific feeding and nutrition which properly supports the immune function. Our canines’ cuisine of choice will be according to their species as the scavenger carnivore. read more
