Activated Charcoal

Kim & Shadrach Bloomer of Aspenbloom Pet Care

Hello everyone! This is one product I keep on hand, especially if you have a dog or dogs around :-) They have a tendency to ever be the scavengers they were created to be and activated charcoal is really good for helping to rid their bodies of any toxins or poisons or just plain something bad they ate. Shadrach is really a good boy and not a garbage hound at all. I teach my dogs from a young age to NOT eat things they aren’t given to eat by me and that is to keep them safe. However things do happen when you least expect it so it’s good to have an arsenal of natural products around to help you help them when they do get sick.

I used this product when I thought Shadrach had gotten into something poisonous when it turned out he had a pancreatitis which is about as bad. The activated charcoal really did help in this case also along with a homeopathic remedy called Nux Vomica, and especially several essential oils by Young Living I absolutely LOVE using and having and sharing with everyone! Here are some more ways you can use activated charcoal and how to purchase it! This is from Wilderness Family Naturals:

Activated Charcoal has tremendous adsorptive properties. Here are some of it’s uses:

Charcoal can be used as a poultice on the skin for bee stings, spider bites, poison ivy, poison oak, and anything that is a toxic irritant to the skin or poisonous to the body.

Charcoal can be used with the flu to neutralize toxins in the stomach created by the virus. It will stop the bad cramps, nausea, or vomiting associated with the flu.

Charcoal can be used for dyspepsia. This is caused by poor digestion. Charcoal neutralizes the gases and products of purification. Gas, bloating and pressure can all be resolved by using charcoal.

Charcoal is very effective for neutralizing poisons that are ingested.

Charcoal can be a part of various detoxification programs. Both with standard detoxifying (especially during fasts) and with mercury detoxifying.

Charcoal can be used to purify water.
