Shadrach and I want to extend our gratitude to our veterans today, this Memorial Day 2006…

by Margaret Loris
Have you ever felt afraid, hurt, anxious, or lonely?
Did you ever feel you were alone in the world?
That noone could understand you.
There was noone to help you.
And even if there was, you were so badly hurt that your voice could not even ask for help.

Over the last few months I’ve been dealing with my sweet canine boy, Shadrach’s ailments that I feel I brought about. Yes, he was a horribly physically abused puppy, nearly starved to death when he came home with us. While I knew about natural care for humans, my natural pet care was lacking but Shadrach has taught me much
Over the years he’s taught me he only likes to eat raw meat and bones, and he prefers a natural preventive care not wrought with vaccines. He used to run from me when I tried to put topical flea & tick prevention on him and I don’t blame him one bit. As I learned and adapted, I went on a mission to share what I’ve learned with others which is why Aspenbloom Pet Care was born.
Shadrach suffered a fall last summer down an arroyo, and I had also been having him run with me on my daily run for a year. It’s not a good idea to run his particular breed, a Neo Mastiff. Well you add all these things together -abuse and malnourishment as a puppy, vaccines, kibble-fed (for a while), running, and the fall down the arroyo and now he has arthritis in his hips and right elbow. We’ve been on a journey to discover what will give me my youthful, sweet, funny, sassy dog back in place of the sleeping giant who is grumpy. Well we have it right here for you! Young Living has once again proven to me they have the absolutely BEST natural healing products on the market today! I’m not kidding -using ourselves and our Shadrach as guinea pigs is proof enough for me. So here is the protocol I use for him to relieve him of pain and to give him a quality of life I believe all our furred and feathered ones deserve:

16 oz. (1 pound)
Raw Ground Meat/Poultry
4 oz. (1/4 pound)
Organ meat (ie. liver, kidney, heart, gizzards, etc.)
Treat meat with 6-8 oz. purified water combined with 4 drops of grapefruit seed extract
Pour over and blend into the ground meat - do not drain off. Organ meats, large chunks of meat, and turkey necks (chicken necks for small dogs) can be marinated in the solution in the refrigerator for one hour).

Now that spring is ending and summer is drawing ever near we’ll want to remain extra diligent in keeping our pets happy and healthy during the heat of the summer. Here are a few tips for keeping them safe and happy this summer:
1. Make sure that your pets have plenty of fresh, pure clean water DAILY. This does not include water from the tap but pure, chlorine-free, fluoride-free water if at all possible. If you do use the reverse osmosis water that removes ALL toxins, make sure to add back in much needed minerals to your pets’ water AND yours!

Hello everyone! This is one product I keep on hand, especially if you have a dog or dogs around They have a tendency to ever be the scavengers they were created to be and activated charcoal is really good for helping to rid their bodies of any toxins or poisons or just plain something bad they ate. Shadrach is really a good boy and not a garbage hound at all. I teach my dogs from a young age to NOT eat things they aren’t given to eat by me and that is to keep them safe. However things do happen when you least expect it so it’s good to have an arsenal of natural products around to help you help them when they do get sick.
I used this product when I thought Shadrach had gotten into something poisonous when it turned out he had a pancreatitis which is about as bad. The activated charcoal really did help in this case also along with a homeopathic remedy called Nux Vomica, and especially several essential oils by Young Living I absolutely LOVE using and having and sharing with everyone! Here are some more ways you can use activated charcoal and how to purchase it! This is from Wilderness Family Naturals:

Activated Charcoal has tremendous adsorptive properties. Here are some of it’s uses:
