Let’s Talk About Those “Zymes”
On our radio show Animal Talk, Naturally! we’ve talked a lot about probiotics and enzymes. These are vital to ensuring the good health of our dogs and cats. These enzymes are greatly lacking in commercial packaged pet food and here I speak of the bad words “dry food” or more commonly know as kibble. These foods are made up of primarily grains and “byproducts” (a nice sounding word for garbage & chemicals & toxins not meant for human or animal consumption). Even if you have switched your pets to a natural, species specific diet, and have quit pharmaceuticals, otc meds, etc., during the detoxification period, your dogs are going to need all the help they can get getting their bodies to a normal and healthy state. So these “zymes” are a VERY necessary part of that process. Here are a few that we suggest by Young Living:

Detoxzyme - 180 caps
A high-powered enzyme complex of vegetable enzymes that maintains and supports detoxification and a healthy intestinal environment.*
Ingredients:
Proprietary Blend: Amylase, Gluycoamylase, Alphagalactosidase, Invertase, Lactase, Cellulase, Protease, Bromelain, Lipase, Phytase, Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) oil, Anise (Pimpinella anisum) oil, Fennel ( Foeniculum vulgare) oil.

Essentialzyme - 100 tabs
Essentialzyme is an advanced multi-enzyme complex that promotes complete digestion and assists in the assimilation of nutrients.* As we grow older, our pancreas produces fewer digestive enzymes, and we become less able to unlock the nutrient content, vitamins and minerals from our food. Enzymes help digest toxic waste and gases from everyday metabolism. Enzymes are vital for breaking down proteins and processed foods, which might otherwise ferment and putrefy in the digestive system. Undigested foods may sap energy and promote overgrowth of yeast, fungi and parasites in the intestinal tract.*
Ingredients:
Betaine; pancrelipase; pancreatin (porcine pancreas glands originating in the United States); bromelain; trypsin; thymus; carrot powder; alfalfa sprouts; alfalfa; papain; cumin, magnesium stearate; amd the essential oils of tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus), anise (Pimpinella anisum), fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), peppermint (Mentha piperita), and clove (Syzygium aromaticum); di-calcium phosphate; and stearic acid.

Sulfurzyme - 300 caps
(Comes in powder form also)
Combines Chinese wolfberry with MSM, an unusual source of nutritional sulfur that is one of the most important antioxidant minerals in the body. MSM supports nail and hair growth, normal immune function, metabolism, and liver function.
Ingredients:
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) and wolfberry powder.
