Bleach is a very toxic and dangerous substance to use in your home. Even inhaling them can leave dangerous petrochemical residue in your lungs and the lungs of your pets. Even worse, if floors are being washed and pets are laying on the floors, those chemicals are going into their bodies even more rapidly than ours through their skin, their paws and through licking. Dogs like to lick things a lot! So rather than put yourselves and our fur kids at risk, here is a great recipe our friend Heather Harings shared using our wonderful Young Living Essential Oils:

These are all the products that have the 99.6% bacteria kill-rate Thieves Essential Oil blend.

Thieves was created based on research about four Thieves who, during the 15th-century plague, used cloves, rosemary, and other aromatics to protect themselves while robbing plague victims. Thieves is a proprietary blend of pure essential oils tested at Weber State University, Ogden, Utah, and found to have a 99.96 percent effective rate against airborne bacteria. Note: Thieves oil blend is an integral ingredient in Thieves Household Cleaner, Thieves Spray, Thieves Wipes, Thieves Lozenges, Dentarome Plus and Dentarome Ultra toothpastes, and Fresh Essence Plus Mouthwash.

How to Use
Diffuse for short periods of time (1/2 hour or less) in the workplace or home environment. Apply to the bottom of the feet or dilute with V-6 Mixing Oil or Massage Oil Base for a stimulating massage under the arms and on the chest at the base of the neck.

Ingredients
Clove (Syzygium aromaticum), lemon (Citrus limon), cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), Eucalyptus radiata, and rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis).

An antiseptic blend formulated for diffusing to purify and cleanse the air and neutralize mildew, cigarette smoke, and disagreeable odors. When applied directly to the skin, Purification may be used to cleanse and soothe insect bites, cuts, and scrapes.

How to Use
Diffuse, apply topically, or put on cotton balls to place in air vents of home, car, hotel room, and office. Diffuse and rub on feet during cleansing.

Ingredients
Citronella (Cymbopogon nardus), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis), melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia), lavandin (Lavandula x hybrida), and myrtle (Myrtus communis).

Lemon (Citrus limon) has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function. It may serve as an insect repellent and may be beneficial for the skin.

How to Use
Diffuse or add a few drops to a spray bottle to deodorize and sterilize the air. Add two drops to soy or rice milk for purification or combine with peppermint (Mentha piperita) to provide a refreshing lift. Use for removing gum, oil, or grease spots. Add to food or soy or rice milk as a dietary supplement or flavoring. CAUTION: Citrus oils should NOT be applied to skin that will be exposed to direct sunlight or ultraviolet light within 72 hours.
